This two-day course will enable you to undertake internal audits and prepare companies for third party audits. It’s delivered via a series of workshop-led discussions, presentations and an interactive case study. During the live case study, you will be given feedback and support to enable you to carry out an audit at your own workplace.
You will be assessed throughout the course (50%) and you will also need to undertake a workplace audit and submit an audit report for assessment (50%). You will need to gain a 75% pass for this assessment.
This course is part of the BRC Global Standards Professional recognition programme.

- Understand the roles and responsibilities of auditors;
- Be able to plan and conduct an internal audit;
- Know how to write concise, accurate and factual audit reports; and
- Be able to undertake audit follow-up activities.
ASSESSMENT Information for candidate.
Note: it is possible to request a Certificate of Attendance if you prefer not to complete the assessment, however please notify us beforehand.
To receive a Certificate of Achievement, an assessment must be completed: this is an internal audit, either real or fictitious (if for example you are a consultant who does not work for a site).

LIVE ONLINE: Please note that this is an online course with a live trainer, delivered via zoom. A zoom link will be sent upon booking so that the attendee can easily join the class online. “What was your motivation to join this course? ” I’m working on a new business unit that requires Food certification etc.. I was asked to get involved with this firstly to help with that but also because I had made clear I wanted to expand my knowledge etc..

What did you enjoy most about the training? “1. Roleplaying audits of different auditees – both as an auditor and an observer.
2. Being able to compare my existing approach to auditing to the approach advised during the training, identifying the gaps and how I can bridge those gaps so that my approach can be more effective.”
