This 1-day course covers the major root cause analysis methodologies used across industries today. This course also arms managers in how to deal with all stakeholders (including the media and/or authorities) when facing a crisis.
The groundwork is established by the BRCGS Root Cause Analysis (RCA) course which you will be completing in the first part of the course. The rest of the course takes you much further to understanding the skills used by lean 6 sigma practitioners and those who are senior in Technical, Quality and Continuous Improvement roles for problem solving.
The assignment you complete will be used to obtain your BRCGS RCA certificate, as well as your STC Advanced Root Cause Analysis, Incident and Crisis Management Certificate.

ASSESSMENT Information for candidate.
STC uses a more modern approach to course assessment for this course. We appreciate that end of course exams can be stressful and aren’t necessarily a good reflection of the course attendee’s knowledge. End of course assignments are also not ideal where there’s the added burden of completing additional work after having set aside time to attend the course. So wherever possible, we’re incorporating a variety of assessments in the course itself, and you will see where we’ve done this, the course assessment is detailed a Continuous Assessment course. We’re all different! Some of us enjoy discussion, some prefer a few short quizzes, spread through the training session, some enjoy individual or group exercises. We utilise a combination of these tools to engage our attendees and keep the course fresh and interesting.
If you’re the person who always strives for a distinction, don’t worry! We’re clear on the expectation for each quiz, and exercise and the trainer is keeping track of progress through these assessments. You’ll also be able to see how you’re doing throughout 😊 So it’s still absolutely possible to get your awesome grade. There’s just far less pressure since assessment is spread out in a sensible way.
