In non-high-care areas, environmental risks can be managed through regular checks and good maintenance rather than complex controls. Routine inspections and monitoring of temperature, humidity, and airflow help spot early signs of condensation or water leaks.
Simple humidity and temperature sensors can be fitted and connected to a computer system to give real-time readings and alerts, helping teams act quickly if conditions change.
Other useful steps include checking ceilings and walls for damp, keeping drainage and ventilation systems well maintained, and following cleaning schedules. For air quality, it helps to have filter replacement plans, dust control, and occasional air or surface testing.
The aim is to keep conditions under control in a practical, evidence-based way, suited to the product and the process.
