This qualification is aimed at those responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems in a food manufacturing or catering environment.

The objective of the qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge necessary to be an integral part of a HACCP team in manufacturing, catering and other related industries, for example those involved in distribution and storage.

We are very proud to offer this qualification to those involved with any and all aspects in a food business relating to HACCP and Food Safety.

Holders of the qualification will have the knowledge necessary to be an integral part of a food business as well as part of Technical and Quality departments and HACCP team members.

The qualification is also relevant to those owning/managing smaller food businesses to give them the underpinning knowledge to develop a HACCP study and understand the fundamentals of food safety.

It is a good idea for attendees to already have some knowledge of food safety hazards and controls, however this is not essential as this course will provide the required knowledge and understanding.

HACCP and food safety training is regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.

ASSESSMENT Information for candidate.

This qualification is assessed by a 60 minute multiple-choice examination, where the learners must answer 18 out of 30 questions correctly to pass and 24 questions to achieve a distinction.

DURATION: 2 days

ENTRY GUIDANCE: It is a good idea for attendees to already have some knowledge of food safety hazards and controls, however this is not essential as this course will provide the required knowledge and understanding.

LIVE ONLINE: Please note that this is an online course with a live trainer, delivered via zoom. A zoom link will be sent upon booking so that the attendee can easily join the class online. Course notes will be shared beforehand and these will be shared on the screen also. All attendees and the trainer can see and talk with each other at all times so that it’s interactive and very much like being in a classroom.

LOCATION: All courses are delivered online and some are available in a classroom setting across 4 locations in the UK. Please refer to the course calendar for classroom locations.

I have attended 2 courses so far with STC with another 2 in the pipeline. I would highly recommend STC for training especially for those who no longer enjoy the prospect of exams! The courses were engaging and fun but with a serious side. I have found the course to be practical and effective in the real world and put what has been learnt to good use. Thank you Cathy.

Very enjoyable. Sonia, the course tutor, was absolutely excellent. She was very engaging, knowledgeable, personable and made what can be a draining subject (yet absolutely key to the food industry, enjoyable). Everybody was engaged during the full 2 days. Sonia created an excellent, team working atmosphere, across the delegates who were not all from the same business.
