BRCGS publish: Managing Food Safety during Covid-19


This guide takes us through BRCGS expectations of how a site should be managing food safety and their business during the Covid-19 crisis.

This happens to also answer all the questions you may have on how the Risk Assessment process works in order to apply for a 6 month extension to your site certification. Your Certification Body will assign an auditor to work with you to conduct this risk assessment, should you apply for the extension and be eligible (you’re still manufacturing product and can’t host an auditor at your site). Essentially, this document covers the key aspects that the auditor will want to confirm with you with the final aim of confirming that YES INDEED, you are still manufacturing safe product.
